Weather forces Lancaster to cancel Rockin’ the Raceway
LANCASTER, NY (June 13, 2017) – Weather forecasts calling for heavy rains with thunderstorms and lightning have forced Lancaster National Speedway to cancel the Rockin’ the Raceway concert scheduled for Thursday night.
“We can’t consciously have the bands take the stage and our customers outside under those conditions,” said Tim Packman, Track President. “There was a lot of interest to see KISS Army, Metal Militia and 1980 Something perform on Thursday, too.
“KISS Army was traveling a great distance and we’d hate to have them show up just to cancel. We will talk things over with the promoter to see if a date can be rescheduled for everyone that will match all of our schedules.”
Lancaster National Speedway & Dragway’s motorsports events are still on as scheduled for this weekend.
Friday night, June 16, is Ladies Night for the Franco’s Pizza IHRA Drag Racing program with $5 general admission for all women.
