Eddie Lee & Closing Time to kick off U.S. Open Sunday

Rochester, N.Y. (March 7, 2017) – Race of Champions management is proud to present regional recording artist Eddie Lee and Closing Time as part of the pre-race entertainment on Sunday, September 24, just prior to the 29th Annual running of the U.S. Open 125 at Lancaster (N.Y) National Speedway. Eddie Lee and Closing Time previously entertained prior to the Ole’ Boy Cup at Lancaster in June and will be the bad that plays “One Hell of a Racing Party” at Lake Erie Speedway on Thursday, September 28 in North East, Pennsylvania after practice concludes at the Speedway.

“We are looking forward to performing for some great race fans,” stated Eddie Lee. “We have a new song that we will perform about Modified racing and we will bring everyone together for some enjoyment and great entertainment before things heat up on the race track.”

Eddie Lee and Closing Time have played as the opening act for several stars including Joe Diffie, Marty Stuart, Confederate Railroad, Aaron Tippin and the Nitty Grit Dirt Band as well as Clint Black, in addition to having released their own LP, “Tougher than Train Smoke”. On Sunday, they will play from 12:00 pm (noon) until 2:00 pm when racing begins.

Where: Lancaster National Speedway, Lancaster, N.Y. The track is located at 57 Gunnville Road in Lancaster, N.Y., just North of Route 33 and minutes from the New York State Thruway.

When: Friday, September 22, Saturday September 23 and Sunday, September 24, 2017
